Coffee quiz

By the way, the sun came back this afternoon. WOOHOO!

You're a cappuccino!

Rain :(

I can honestly say I jinxed our sun. I was just starting to worry that I should find the sprinkler and water the lawn. So of course that means we woke up to a thunder storm. A very cool one I might add. You couldn't see the lightening very well because of how overcast it is, but the noise was defening. It sounded like 2 fighter jets were going through the valley beside us. Which happens, so that's how I know. lol

I'm plugging away at my new website and have added many pages to my other. It's a great day to sit and watch old movies and write up more articles. Ok, and I'll do some laundry to. Geesh, get off my back! Later!

SUN!!!

The sun is back. It's supposed to be here all week, but I don't trust those weather quacks. Beautiful blue skies without a cloud. Time to run into daughters room and help her clean a few seconds and then get outside. My tan from the 4th is starting to dim. Can't have that happen!

Summer school

Both of the kids are in summer school starting yesterday. Yippee! I have time to clean the house and work on websites in the morning now. Plus, my son get's to play with his best friends while on breaks. He came home all excited about how well he did and the new people he had in his classes. I really should email his teacher from last year, I'm sure she had a hand in his going into a seperate group from his friends. I brought it up for him to be seperated from them next year. It will build his confidence to get more friends. We are surrounded by girls and he needs more slumber party cohorts for one thing.

I have my last mid-term tomorrow. I guess I'll be cramming for it tomorrow afternoon. OH and we have 2 other tests as well. [head smack] Why all in one day?

Vincent Black Shadow

Hubby and I are up watching tv way to late. History channel to be exact. And that is because there was a great episode on bikes. I had no idea half these bikes existed. I love the old vincent black shadow. How cool to find out that someone here in the states has decided to repilicate or they are a family member moved here. WHATEVER! Your bike's rock! I can't wait to get more info. When I move within the next couple of years we will need a couple of bikes. I don't plan on using my huge suv to visit my relatives anymore when the weather is nice.

So if you are looking for a woman to give an opinion, here I am! Long line of biker bitches here;) Good girls, gone bad in other words. roflmao

Groove

I've so got to find it. I lost it over the weekend since I had no responsibilities. I only have 5 weeks of classes left before our first break. Easy as pie. Now if the house can just survive until then it will be a miracle!

From busy to busier

We had a great weekend visiting family. Mild 4th of July which was a big culture shock to the kids. I think they'll survive. lol They have been so spoiled with the show our neighborhood puts on every year.

Of course came home and had 2 hours to cram for my midterm. Then, 3 tests today and a midterm on Friday. All while my daughter is going to her first week of summer school so we have to finagle the work schedule around that. Oops, we didn't make the first class. I was thinking it started next week. I guess it's my son's that starts then. I guess I better add cleaning the desk to my to-do list. It would probably be a good idea to have this info handy. lol

Are you a Princess, Enchantress, Faerie, Mermaid or Toad?

witch
You are an Enchantress, somewhat an enigma,
you would love to change the world. You hold
strong views and, would love nothing more, to
use your magic to change the world around you.
When in conversation, you listen, take on their
comments, and fantasise how you could improve
things. Quite the idealist, you think you have
all the answers, whether for right or wrong.
You hold your intellect high, and believe you
can change the world! In a relationship, you
need a partner of high intellect.

The world
and you, often seems at odds, with you
frequently seeing things from a different point
of view.

You have a connection with nature,
often stating, that things will take their
natural course. Nevertheless, secretly, you
would like to use nature to your own
ends.

Your good points are that you are
intelligent, instigative and thoughtful and
your bad points are, you can be single-minded,
misled and remorseless.

You feel that your
superior knowledge should astound everyone
around you; and you wish for respect from your
peers.

Sad today

My Dad called me this morning to let me know that my Great-aunt Vivian passed away yesterday. We found out a few weeks ago that she had Leukemia and wasn't going to fight it. She was in her late 90's and lived a very good life. She was a great lady and I will miss her a lot. I'm glad she went peacefully instead of the disease taking her slowly and painfully. It's going to be a long week helping my Mom and my kids through this.

I'm glad you are free of pain Aunt Vivian. We love you!

Still stuffed up

but atleast it's getting better. The kids are adjusting to school being out. I've actually gotten to sleep in and catch up from being up late studying. My oldest makes breakfast in the morning and that is a welcome surprise! Only 1 week left and we are off to Mom's house for the 4th! WOOHOO, can't wait. I've told hubby that I'm seriously considering skipping school on the 1st so we can leave on Friday when he gets home. lol I'm so excited to see them and to have nothing to do for 4 whole days. Ahhhhh, it's what is keeping me sane right now.

No more kleenex!

I swear my nose is going to fall off soon. My allergies have been horrible for the last 4 days. The weather has been nice and the dogs are shedding. Mandy (golden) has clumps of hair all over the house and backyard. Yuck! Match that with the dust from having the windows open and my house is seriously killing me. I didn't think I would make it through class yesterday. I have serious doubts about it tonight. lol I'm deep cleaning the frontroom right now. So that ought to make me worse before it gets better. Good thing we have friends coming over this weekend to appreciate this clean house. I hate to clean it all for just us. lol

The joys of quizes

When classes started I thought it sucked that we have a quiz every week in Kinesiology. Boy was I wrong. It's easy to remember we have one, lmao, and it means I can get the info out of my head and move on to the new material. Not so with my anatomy/phys, excercise phys or nutrition. Oh no, I have to look at the syllabus and figure out what is due or what class is having a test. So studied and felt great about know the info for the quiz today. Only to get to school and have studied for the wrong class! Holy crap, I haven't even looked at the other stuff since class on monday. We had a good review and I know I passed it, but there might have went my perfect record on the tests. Darn it!

On a positive note, the other test is next week sometime and I will be so ready for it! Bring it on! lol

School's sinking in

I'm still not on a schedule of any kind, and I'm still not happy with my study habits. lol But I'm not feeling so overwhelmed tonight. There are throwing a ton of information at us at once. But, I'm trying to remember, that we don't need to remember all of it. Just study the key points and it will all be good. I even overdid my homework today. Now I have all the questions answered for my practice test. lol

K, boring post, I know. But, it's 11:15 and I just got home from school. My brain is still processing.

Ok, fun note. We bought the ECW pay-per-view yesterday and watched with a couple of friends. Good lord it was lame. We were all excited, thinking they might go out in true hard core ECW fashion. Nope, lame. It was my beloved WWE, minus the drama, minus the people that can speak complete sentences, and minus the beautiful bodies. lol I was very disappointed and am pissed that it we wasted our $35 on it! Thankfully I will have my Batista to watch here in a couple of weeks in Hell in the Cell.

There was that more exciting;)

Backburner

Well, it looks like just about everything will be put on the backburner while I adjust to school. Many things will be waiting a year to be done correctly. lol It's just going to be a lot more of a time commitment than I had thought. Plus, I really do need to sleep. lol I'm a natural born "sleeper" so this 5 or 6 hours a night doesn't cut it. I took a nap after the kids went to school today, but they get out in a couple of weeks. I better start planning around this now. I'm working on getting more organized:)

First day of school

Nothing like jumping right into things. First night of school and we go right for the jugular: Kinesiology. Hmm, one of the major reasons I didn't go into this profession back 13 years ago at the university. Bring it on! My mind is full right now, but it's not overwhelming YET. lol I love my instructor, she created the program for the school. Very hands on oriented. Just my way of learning. Tomorrow we meet the other instructor. I'm sure if they work this closely together, than she has to be pretty cool to. I'm happy I'm doing this and I think that in itself is a big step.

I'm still not happy about the mid-term on July 5th though. I made sure and told her that. lmao She proceded to tell me it was open book. lol A little better, but still, come on!

Longest Yard

Hubby and I went and watched it on opening night. It was even better than I thought it would be. There were so many names. We were really excited to see 3 of our favorite wrestlers in it. They haven't been around for over a year. Well, Stone Cold has been, but not Goldberg or Big Daddy Cool! Those guys are so HOT! It was great to get out with hubby and throw a few beers back, then go to the movies. We had a great ADULT conversation time. Talking about nothing in particular. lol We so need more days like this! Life is just so complicated once you have to be parents. ARGHHHHHHH!

Movie Memes,

got hit by my buddies Chrissie and Retta, but my problem is I don't know any other bloggers to pass it to but you guys! lol

1) Total number of films I own on DVD/video: I'm addicted to buying the previously viewed from hollywood video now. But, I'm curbing the addiction well. We only own 77ish. Not sure what the neighbors have borrowed, or what's in the kids rooms. lol

2) The last film I bought: ladder 49 for hubby

3) The last film I watched: Metallica "some kind of monster" Will be adding it to my collection tomorrow!

4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me (in no particular order):)

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
XXX
Fast and the Furious
What about Bob?
Chronicles of Riddick (I know, there's a definite pattern there. lol)

5) Tag 5 people to post this in their blog journal: K, i've thought and thought, but I don't have anyone to hit with this:(

School Orientation

Well, I went tonight for my orientation. I don't feel old and dumpy anymore. There was way worse than me there. I know I will be fit as a fiddle by this time next year, not sure about some of the others. lol But, that's being pretty judgemental, so I suck. My bad. I have a mid-term on July 5th. That is going to seriously cut into my beer drinking that weekend:( We are going over to spend the weekend with my in-laws. I haven't partied with Mom in many months. I miss her! I guess I will have to study hard during the day. Mom won't let me not drink with her. lol Did I mention I miss my mother-in-law? Oh, I guess I did. I know, I'm a freak we are good friends. But, hey next time marry into the right family :) roflmao
